30 "Day" Photo Challenge-Day 1

So I've decided to try this 30 day photo challenge thing I saw online. I say day in quotations because I highly doubt I'll do one every day, but I do want to try to do all 30. Here we go!

Kids Say the Darndest Things-Part II

So just more funny things Jacob has said in the last few weeks. Well, I mean, I thought they were funny-lol.

To my parents bird he said "Hi birdie, I Jacob."

He will tell me "I lobe you." AKA I love you.

He loves to watch "Bittle Bill" (Little Bill) and "Clues Clues" (Blue's Clues)

He is in a big boy bed now, and at night he opens the door and yells "Mommy! It dark!"

We were at a play group and I said it was almost time to go and he told me "I can't go home. I just can't."

If you ask him what daddy's name is he says "Daddy Jesse".

He knows lots of people's names but he doesn't say them quite right. Mia is Me-na, Sara is Sar, Ryan is Ry-nan, Leah is Lela.

In the morning he is waiting at his door and he says "I wake up!"

When we walk on the boardwalk, some houses have Halloween decorations up and he will grab my hand and say "It scare me."

He had lots of fun going to the 'Pumpkin Catch' (Pumpkin Patch).

These are just some of the things he's be spouting off lately!

Monster Mash

I hosted my 2nd annual Monster Mash--aka a Halloween party for all of Jacob's friends! The kids were so cute! I put 2 cheapo plastic table clothes down on my living room floor and put 2 kids tables on them for everyone to eat at. I also borrowed decorations from my mom and the kids loved the orange lights and cobwebs! I made PB&Js and cut them with Halloween cookie cutters, and had nuggets as the main course for the the kids, and chili for the adults. We had popcorn, chips, apples and caramel, corn bread and of course candy to snack on as well!

The costumes were so cute! Jacob was a puppy, and his friends were a frog, a blue monster, twin baseball players, a cowboy, 2 lady bugs, a princess and another puppy. The kids (sort of) made crafts. 2 were store bought foam projects and one was created by me! The kids made colorful ghosts out of paper plates cut in half, crepe paper strips, pom poms for noses and googley eyes. The kids mostly had fun playing in the play house, shooting hoops, sliding down the slide, making music and driving trucks--all of this in my basement! We attempted to get them all on the couch for a picture, but that proved impossible!

After the majority of the guests left, the remainder of the adults hung out and played Apples to Apples and Jacob watched Tangled with his 'girlfriend'. All in all it was a great party and I can't wait for next year when my princesses are in the mix!

Friends of Fall

S0 far we've been having an awesome autumn season! We started out by going camping with a great group of friends. Jacob had so much fun! The kids got to go trick or treating and Jacob really got it this year! He would walk and hold out his bag for candy, then when the person dropped it in, he would say 'thank you!' and then wait for more candy! It was so funny.

We have been seeing lots of friends this season. We had a cookout and hung out at the farmers market after. Well we walked through the farmers market and got ice cream-lol. We also went to a scarecrow making party and Jacob and I made a toddler sized scarecrow. He wasn't too fond of it, though. We have been taking multiple walks a week to the water and Jacob loves seeing if the people fishing caught anything.

Jacob is loving story time at the library. He is getting better at sitting down and listening, too. He is also enjoying the activities we've been going to at various rec center. We went to a toddler kickball game and he has pretty good aim! He even did better than some of the older girls who were there. Ahh I can't wait until he's big enough to sign up for sports!
